    le26r74bd annoying fault!

Hi all, how are you doing?

Ok, i picked up this samsung lcd tv, the tv was stuck on stand by. now i cant remember if it had a stand by light to start with, anyhow... i opened tv and i found a buldging capacitor, AND 2 caps poorly replaced wrong way round. i turned these and relplaced the bad cap. now tv has stand by light with a slight flicked, the tv stays in stand by UNLESS the infared board is unplugged the tv comes to life.

im unsure if person replaced the caps with the proper one, its the caps nearest the av board wire connections. think these onse are known for going bad, i cant see the values on any picture of the psu.
ill upload in a bit when i come back home.

    any ideas?

Check the power button on the key button PCB is not stuck down or broken.

ahh the side ones.....that would perhaps explain the flicker from the led. ill check and come back, if it works ill let others know

no, wasnt that.even with the side keys disconected the led still flickers slightly, the keys all work as does the front power key. only when the ir board with the led on it is connected the tv wont fire up, would the small led drain the power for the 'on' signal?

perhaps a shorted mlcc on the ir board is dragging down the voltage? Ohms test across the voltage rails of the ir board should tell the tale, also a voltage test with the ir board plugged and unplugged would be helpful.

Samsung UN65NU6900FXZA Stand-by light on but voltages on PS indicate TV should be on
              by DXseekerMO
              Hello everyone!

Tonight I picked up a Samsung UN65NU6900FXZA with a curious issue.

              Symptoms:

              1) Plug TV in to AC outlet, stand-by light illuminates briefly and goes out.
              2) TV does not appear to turn on
              3) Backlights do not illuminate, voltages associated with backlights on Power Supply are not present
              4) "Power on" terminal on Power Supply has 3.26v
              5) "A13V" terminals have 12.9v
              6) Stand-by test jumper on Power Supply has 12.9V
              7) Optical audio jack on Main Board illuminates
              8) With stand-by...

              Panasonic SA-MAX770PU SMPSU board fault....
              by Rictech
              Hello everyone. 😀

As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.

Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...

              Schenker VIA 15 PRO, PF 4NU1F V1.0, P/N: MBPPF4NU18-F310 - 36mA in stand-by
              by FriedFred
              Hello, everyone!
I have here a Schenker VIA 15 PRO, with this numbers on the board: PF 4NU1F V1.0 and P/N: MBPPF4NU18-F310 .
I took out the memory and the battery and the SSD.

So, in stand-by, only the board, takes 36mA. No power-button pressed at all, I can measure 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V. All coils present voltages except the two power rails for the CPU. The CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 4600H.
After pressing the power-button, the current raises to 500mA and the two power rails for the CPU show up with 0.8V.
After several seconds, the fans switch-off and the board keeps powered...

ESR meter came to the rescue again today with a PLC I/O card fault
              by sam_sam_sam
I have been having a fun time at work with two pieces of equipment that had shorted components or shorted component cables to machine frame
I would check what my multi meter was telling me about how many ohms I getting with the multi meter was telling versus the ESR was telling me about weather or not it really was a short to machine ground or not

One note at first we thought that it might be a bad I/O card or a malfunction PLC including me as well but I thought I would try and see if removing the I/O cables would make a difference or not and this time it did make a difference...

              LG OLE65C1 Stand-By issue
              by Titus6
              Hello everyone,

I bought an OLED65C1 refurbished TV back in 2022 from a shop. The TV is awesome, this is my first OLED and I really love it.

However I have an issue with the TV since the end of last year. I noticed when my TV is in Stand-By, sometimes the LED goes off then comes back on. When do so it seem periodical. It only goes away for 1-2 seconds, than comes back on. The TV NEVER turnes off, while it's on, so it's not overheating issue or electrical power issue.

I bought a service remote (MKJ39170828) and checked the menu 3. Power On/Off Status. I took...
