Bizarre behaviour Hisense - 42 inch LCD

    Hi all....

This may seem odd but the other day, my daughters TV stopped working and began emitting a high pitched whine...and nothing else.

So, I thought, lets open her up and see what we can see.....Took the back off...checked the Caps etc. nothing. Plugged it in - worked perfectly!

reinstalled the backpanel, reinstalled wall bracket, checked it again before I put it on the wall....All good!

Put it on the wall, High pitched whine and nothing else.

Took it off the wall, plugged it in again in my work room - Worked perfectly.

Took it back into daughters room - plugged it in before hanging it - worked perfectly....

Hung it on the wall.....High pitched whine....Bizzare...I think it might be a dry solder joint thats getting stressed when I hang it....

    Any thoughts at all??

    Cheers in advance...

could very well be or something may be pinching. I have read a similar story, no idea when , brand or model so have no idea what key word to do a search.

Is it possible to leave the back off, then mount and hang and see what flexes?

Unfortunately, that was the first thing I checked....The upper ones have
10 mm clearance and the bottom ones are actually in the backpanel....and contained....so not touching...

The thing is, it works with the bolts in when its on the floor lol.

          Cheers

If it works when lying down, perhaps it's a bad solder joint somewhere and when mounted vertically the weight of the component causes it to disconnect.. Check the power supply for bad solder joints.

Sounds like a wire being pinched some place, I had a Sammy 5084 that would work perfect on a stand, put it on the wall mount and it wouldn't turn on all all.

Come to find out there was a wire being pinched between the back shell and the bottom of the panel itself. It came from the factory like this.

Take the back off and start hunting!

Also I repaired a 2013 JVC LED that had the same issue, from the factory there was a wire harness being smashed by the back shell on the wall mount bolt frame.

Can I Swap Screens Between Two Hisense 75” QLED TVs?
                by ShahZaib Ghumman
                Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...

Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.
                by nono34
                Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

HP 250 G7 - Battery Issue (Lid behaviour)
                by Federause
                Hi everyone,
I have an HP 250 G7 for assistance. I've changed the battery (the old was dead) with a not-original.
It has a particular behaviour that I've never seen:
With the lid open, the voltage is present on the relative pins. Upon a time I close the lid, after 5-10 sec. the voltage drops down to 0. If I re-open the lid, the battery keeps stuck in this situation. I have to connect the power supply to "resurrect" the battery. In this way, I can power on the laptop without any problem and also use it without the power cord. If i shutdown the laptop, keeps it with the...

                HISENSE 65H6510G (13 AUG 2020) - POWER ISSUES
                by DoubleBogey817
                HISENSE 65H6510G (13 AUGUST 2020)

When powered on, initial splash screen (HISENSE ANDROID TV) displays for a few seconds then power shuts off. Tried updating firmware with USB flash drive (can't find 4GB drive but did format larger drive in FAT32) with no luck. Flash drive would be accessed but would never get to the update process. I have ordered a board (RSAG7.820.7911/ROH, PART# 242585) from eBay which will arrive in a few days. Does anyone have any input of whether I am chasing down the right trail or should I be trying something else? I appreciate your time and wish to say thank...

Hisense H50N5300UK reboots when showing full red images
                by Track4207
Hi all! A bit of an interesting and unusual problem: as the the title suggests I have a Hisense H50N5300UK that reboots when showing fullscreen solid red images (and some other solid colours, but red generally causes the issue the fastest). I first came across the problem assuming it was an intermittent issue, but later lucked into finding out that a title sequence of a show I watch happened to trigger the reboot.

                What happens:
                • TV appears to operate normally, for an indefinite amount of time until a problem image appears
                • The problem image is displayed very briefly, then the
