Replacing an i315b1-16a inverter in a Samsung TV

    Hi

We have a 32" Samsung TV (le32r88bd) that is doing the 2 second to black.

I've read the stickied thread regarding diagnosing the problem.

I have ordered a refurbished inverter board for a whoping £6.80.

I noticed the high voltage signs on the board which got me scared. The television has been unplugged for about a week now. Is it safe for me to start unplugging all of the connectors to replace the entire board?

If its not the inverter board thats at fault we'll probably stick the telly on ebay.

    Hope you can help

    Thanks.

Should be fine to replace the inverter and unplug the cables, the voltages discharge within about 10mins, when on the the inverter is on it produces over 1000v so stay away from it when on.

Great thanks for the speedy response!

I thought it would be safe after leaving for a while. Did not know how long these things hold charge for.

The output voltage of the inverter is essentially inactive as soon as power is pulled. You should be fine.

                Hi,
could you please tell me where did you get the second hand inverter?
I also have the same problem.
Where can I buy one new or second hand?
                Thanks!
