LG 50PS60 No picture no sound

My LG 50PS60 just died with no picture, no sound. Here's what I've done so far to troubleshoot (following Tom66's guide).

1. Disconnect Ysus: Still no picture, with partially working sound. It seems to about 1/3rd of the music.
2. Disconnect Zsus: Red/pink tinted picture with sparklies and fully functioning sound.
3. Checked voltages at the PSU
5v: 5.05V
VA: Spec 65, Actual 64.4V
VS: Spec 194, Actual 194.2

Seems like a problem with Zsus, what do you all think?

I have a pile of pics that I can post, but I'm not sure which ones will be most helpful. If I can figure out which board is causing the problem, I'll probably replace it instead of troubleshooting further. My soldering skills are non-existent.

Z-sustain is a very common fault on this model.
The fix is reasonably complicated, there are repair services available online. Or you can replace the whole board.

Replaced the Z-sus board. Powered it up....and got a little puff of smoke from the new Z-sus. Major bummer.

Sounds like your new zsus was anything but. Where did you buy it from? Did you have all screws installed? Was the rubber pad in the bottom installed too?

I bought it from ebay. I installed about half of the screws -- I'm guessing that's not good.

With the "new" broken board in, the tv powers up but has little sparklies.

Unfortunately--Looks like your Z-SUS died because all the earthing screws were not in place.....

The screws and the pads on the board earth the tracks to the chassis. If some are not present can have odd effects--or destruction of the boards
