SUMMARY
The Panasonic PT-52LCX66 has a lamp module that fails after 1-3 years and must be replaced. It slides into a cavity in the front of the TV which essentially rails it into line with the lamp connector, a two port power connector. My 4th lamp (in about a decade) just died, but this one burnt the connector in the process. I want to know if it's possible to replace the TV side of the connector, as the charred remains are pretty much unusable.
THINGS TESTED
Nothing, really. I had to yank and pull and strain and swear to get the lamp to slide out, and then found the charred connector as an explanation why. I scraped off some of the charred remains and found that a) a hole had been burnt in the tubular connector case and b) I doubt the insides are usable, and c) even if they did conduct power they'd probably just burn out immediately due to the mangling of the connector.
I'm attaching pictures which make it clear 1) which part I'm talking about and 2) what happened to it. I apologize for some blurriness; hard to jam camera inside cavity to take picture. The first picture (black) shows the TV lamp connector (female socket inside a male housing?), the second picture (brown) shows the lamp side (male pin inside the outer (female) housing). It's the black one that I would need to replace.

QUESTION
Can I just purchase a replacement connector, disassemble the TV, remove the old one and slap the new one onto the wires and re-seat? If so, any idea what part number it is or where to find it? The service manual doesn't appear to call it out (it calls it "Lamp Connector" in the diagrams but that name doesn't show up in the parts list).
Any help is appreciated!
