LG 60PV250 - shorted ZSUS EBR73561701

Narrowed my issue down to this board (ZSUS EBR73561701). Vs is shorted to GND. Unable to determine fault. Been trying to somehow break/split the circuit in half to see where my short is coming from.

Visual is OK. Solder is OK. Caps are OK. Fuses OK.

this board is sold out everywhere so I am trying to save this board.


Any possible way to troubleshoot this further without removing the middle bank of fets and big heatsink?

A good way of finding a fault like this is to check the DRAIN-GATE and SOURCE-GATE of all transistors. In many cases when transistors fail these junctions will also get shorted.

If I am doing it correctly, they are all shorted. I think something else is crossing these lines. Center black heatsink block with all attached components are linked together. Could they all have gone at once? Trying to avoid lifting this section off and kill this board completely.
And of course service manual has no schematics or part listings. :/

Maybe try here, check if they actually have stock. I just tried an order for a 1000 units and it added to cart so that seemed sus, probably not live data.

I think you are testing across drain and source. Only a few transistors will probably be actually shorted across drain-gate or gate-source.

Perhaps, the transistors are in parallel, so if one shows shorted, they all will.

tom66 - all pin configurations, shorted.

Would that mean in parallel and one is causing my issue? No other way except removing the whole block of them?.. not easily accesible to do just one.
