Vestel make all the boards in the set. They don't make the panels. Never have.

Vestel produce absolute garbage hardware. I've fixed enough of their crap to know!!

This TV has nothing Sharp in it. I don't think it's even been to Japan.

Yeap i agree. I just felt a relief when i notice that the panel doesn't have any integrated ic on the glass and that everything is in the board so it's fixable. Tom mate i sent you the voltages you asked me, where do you want to go next?

There are ICs in the panel... every LCD panel uses them... they are on the orange ribbons.

The voltages seem ok, so I'm not sure. I've not had one of these to diagnose yet. Maybe bad T-con controller.

I see. Which ic is the controller? It has small cost so i will try replace it.

It's usually the one with the LVDS traces connected to it. Possibly branded SAMSUNG or AMLCD or WISEVIEW

Re: Sharp LC-40LE510E Green color only

what Tom is saying is that there are Ic's embedded into each ribbon cable coming off the top two boards attached to the panel. I think what you're thinking more of is a physical IC soldered to one of those boards and that would be a no. If you look at the fine ribbon cables that connect the two top boards into the panel itself those are the IC's that are non changeable and one of them maybe bad causing your symptoms thus for being a bad panel because that is not replaceable unfortunately. these IC's are known as chip on film and they are fused into the ribbon cables from the factory. We have seen these IC's cause all sorts of different symptoms
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Yeap, i understand. I'll try to found the tcon controller and get some voltages or just replace it. I'll keep you updated. Thank you all.

Ressurecting this thread from the deads but i finally managed to get a genuine tcon controller and replace it, sadly i get same behaviour.
Is there any chance to power up the panel with external voltage and without the lvds connected to verify if the failure is on TCON/PANEL or Mainboard?
Or any other advise is welcomed. Thanks again.
