I'm not sure if the button board is serviceable since it's not mounted with screws...it looks like they laid the board down on two plastic pegs and then melted the pegs down over the board so if I removed it I wouldn't have a way to put it back..

OK, the IR1 Receiver which has 3 pins, check and see if any of them has DC Voltages, also check those TP test points to see if they show any DC voltages also.

The outside pins of the IR rx show 3.29 and 3.23V Test point voltages are as follows

TP1: 3.38

TP2: 3.38

TP3: 0.0

TP4: 3.28

TP5: 3.27

TP6: 3.37

TP7: 0.0

TP8: 0.0

TP9: 3.29

TP10: 0.0

TP11: 3.26

TP12: 0.0

TP13: 0.0

TP14: 3.38

TP15: 3.38

OK, so the board does receive Voltage feeding it. Did you get the remote to work?

I still need to clean the contacts and buy new AAA batteries but haven't had time to do either yet. I've been slammed with homework I might be able to do it tomorrow but if I don't I will update on Sunday evening. Thank you for helping out!

The remote works!! Woo! The buttons on the front of the TV still don't work but at this point I really don't care. Thanks to everyone who helped!
