Hello all,
I am attempting to convert an 86-inch commercial display, manufactured by TPV, back into a standard, fully functional TV/monitor. The display is currently running corporate/embedded firmware that prevents standard operation.
The primary goal is to find the original or a compatible "public" (non-corporate) firmware file to flash the mainboard and restore normal HDMI input functionality. 1. Display Identification & Hardware Details
Mainboard and PSU Part Numbers
These are the critical parts I need firmware guidance for:
Current Symptoms & Operation
The display is programmed to rely on an internal PC/OPS module:
Request for Professional Guidance
I require assistance from anyone with experience flashing TPV or Philips commercial display mainboards:
Any guidance is greatly appreciated. I am aware of the risks involved in flashing firmware and proceed at my own risk.
Thank you.
- Suspected Origin: TPV / Philips Professional Q-Line or P-Line series.
- Panel HWID (from Windows): MONITOR\MGF8601
- Closest Public Model (for driver proxy): Philips 86BDL5057P (uses TPV panel/drivers).
- Frame Sticker Code: q27J6647201000WAAL(MEG 86-T) 20231116
- Panel Assembly Code: PSQ860APM4QVNMGA0B
- Manufacturer Confirmation: The sticker clearly states TPV.
Mainboard and PSU Part Numbers
These are the critical parts I need firmware guidance for:
- Main Logic Board (MB): 715GD081-M0F-B00-005K
- Power Supply Unit (PSU): 715GA758-P01-006-0H2M
Current Symptoms & Operation
The display is programmed to rely on an internal PC/OPS module:
- With Internal PC Removed: The display powers on and shows the initial boot screen (company logo).
- 5-Minute Timeout: After five minutes, the display powers down completely. It does not fail over or stay awake on an active HDMI input.
- PC Connectivity Issue: When connected to the internal Windows 11 PC, the screen goes black with the company logo for five minutes and then fails over to the internal PC, which has already loaded Windows 11 and been idle at desktop.
Request for Professional Guidance
I require assistance from anyone with experience flashing TPV or Philips commercial display mainboards:
- 1. Firmware File: Can anyone provide or point me toward the standard (non-corporate) firmware file compatible with the 715GD081-M0F mainboard?
- 2. Flashing Method: What is the most common flashing method for this TPV board? (e.g., specific USB-to-TTL programmer, specific UART port pins, or a simple USB-stick method if a factory menu can be accessed).
- 3. Service Menu Access: Does anyone know the Service Menu key sequence for a TPV/Philips commercial unit (Q-Line, etc.) to check the current FW version or override the timeout?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated. I am aware of the risks involved in flashing firmware and proceed at my own risk.
Thank you.
