    samsung 32" LN32A450C1DXZA won't power on immediatley

I've had the Samsung tv for about 5 years and for the past several weeks, I've had problems powering on the tv.

There's a standby red light, and it wil eventually power on, but it seems take a while for it to warm up before the light starts blinking and powering on...I never had this problem before.

I have to keep pushing the power button til it eventually comes on...takes several minutes.

I thought that it might of have something to do with way my system is all connected (tv, laptop, stereo) via hdmi cables, but i unplugged everything from the tv, and the problem still persists.

Is this a bad capacitor from the power supply going out?

Sorry, I'm sure a picture will help, but I'm trying to get away from taking it apart right now.

Can you just give some advice on what you think it is?

I will try and take it apart some time this week...thanks.

It can be as simple as bad caps in the power supply.

Does it seem strange that it turns on after warming up?

No, not at all, the ESR of the capacitor will go down when the temperature goes up which will make the circuit function again. Bad cap can look normal but can have high ESR.

Is this a common problem wit Samsung tv's or lcd tv's in general?

How long are capacitor's supposed to last?

I'll post pics after i take it apart...thanks.

Common to any electronics (no matter what brand) especially in the high frequency switching power supply circuit. The cheap Chinese made caps will usually last until the warranty runs out.

In my initial post, I left out the fact that it's very difficult to turn the tv on with the remote.

I have to push it several times until I see a red light blinking which indicates it's powering on, but when I push the power button, the red light doesn't always flash, and when it does, it only blinks once and doesn't come on again...does this indicate anything?

Also, would a factory reset make a difference?

I just fixed a set like this I believe (maybe even the same model number). Also take the power supply out and look behind it - mine had a burn mark behind it.

And what you just said points to capacitors (in my eyes). But Budm is teaching me so take his advice

Okay, thanks...I'll definitely take it apart tomorrow and post pics.

Had a cold spell here last night dropping to mid 30's and it took me like 20 minutes to turn the tv on...had to resort to warming it up with a heater for a while.

I'm trying to take my tv apart right now, but I'm having some difficulty.

The back case wants to come off, but is stuck under the jacks panel as if I've missed something.

The entire case comes off except for that bottom corner with all the jacks.

Did I miss a screw, or do I have to push or pull on a tab or something?

@ful. there should be at least one screw on the input jack panel by the RCA jacks..

Man, I need to get glasses...stared at the screw for 5 minutes and couldn't see it.

Finally got it apart, and there doesn't seem to be anything obviously wrong.

The capacitors look fine...not fat or bulging.

The only thing I found was some brown staining or burning on quite a few blue disc shaped things.

I took video also, and lots of pics and let me know if you need more...thanks.

So you should do the whole set.
As you can see in my pictures, if one is bad, the other will go soon. Good cap can look normal.

The second link you gave doesn't go anywhere.

In the first link, are you talking about the one on the far left, not the bigger one out of the four?

But, I should replace all 4 of these?

Okay, got my magnifying glass, and I can see it now.

So there's nothing to worry about the stains on the blue shaped discs?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                          Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                                          Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                                          Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                                          LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...
