Samsung 65" UE65F6400AF ramdomly power cycles

    Hello all,

Samsung 65" TV that randomly power cycles. It could be a few hours or a few minutes and then I hear a click sound and reboots. I have updated the firmware to the latest. I'm suspecting the power supply might have bad caps (hoping πŸ™...). Inspected the PSU board and none of the caps have any bulging, leaking, or unusual noises that I can hear. Any suggestions? Thanks

    PSU: L65X1Q_DHS / BN44-00627A
    Model: UE65F6400AFXZA
    Ver No: MH01

bulging caps not the only sign of bad one.. ESR measurement the correct way, if you are not able to measure ESR, i would suggest you to replace all caps at the Cold Area, they are not expensive.

Check the cable and its connectors that connect the motherboard to the power supply (burnt contacts, poor contact), a common problem in this chassis.

The thick white line, see it right beside where it says cold, marks the hot and cold side, in your picture, cold is on the right side. There's 12 electrolytic caps on that side. Also inspect the underside of board for any obvious issues. Bad solder joints etc, can just do an image search for bad solder joints for examples.

nomoresonys Thank you. No burnt marking on other side of board that I can see but did notice this dark spot JP907/JP908 and this thing on the other side.
Diah I heated those 2 caps for about 2min. Plugged TV in and Powered On with no issues.

When you say powered on with no issues, do you mean the tv worked like it should? If so there's your answer, switch out those 2 caps.

So the TV powers On every time but after several minutes or an hour it will randomly power cycle.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Assuming...

                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. πŸ˜…

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                            Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                            Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                            LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...
