I am getting frustrated with this tv. When I turn on the tv, it eventually starts clicking and I can test all the voltage output after the click, then the voltage goes to 0v. I can't take any voltages without it jumping around. I tested the ESR on all the electrolytic caps and they were good. When testing the voltages on the LDO in the 5v stby circuit, the input jumps around between 5-5.2V. Since I can't get a steady 5v stby I can't even shunt the RL_On to 5stby so I can test the voltage outputs without them jumping all over the place. Can I use an external 5V source to get the 5V on the standby, any suggestions?

by marce002Hello
Need just to know how do you guys determine what the problem is, when we have some fluctuating volt, to discard a faulty TPS 51125 , or if the issue is after this IC.
CRAZY JUMPING
PP3V3_S5 = 0v to 3.33 v jumping
PPBUS_G3H = 12.4v to 12.48 jumping a little
PP5V_S5 = 2v to 5v aprox, jumping fast
P3V3S5_ENTRIP = crazy jumping from low volt
SMC_PM_G2_EN = jumping 0v to 3.3v crazy
STEADY
P3V42_G3H=3.39V steady
PP5V1_CHGR_VDD=5.06v steady
PPCHGR_DCIN= 18.29 to 18.31 jumping

by CapLeakerSo I bought this LG 65UQ70 today at Walliworld. Put the wall mount on, set it up, worked for 30 mins and then I get these jumping horizontal bars. Let the TV do updates and let it cool down for 5 mins. Worked perfect for 2 mins. As soon the TV is warm I get the jumping vertical bars again.
Keep the other TCL thread in mind. Now I am questioning are all COVID 2022 / 23 TV’s bad or what? That’s two 65” TV’s one from Amazon and this one from Walmart. What are the chances on that?
I guess this one goes back either later today or tomorrow morning, unless... -
by roddDear all,
I am trying to repair the ATX power supply.
First I fixed the +5V stby, which was zero due to a shorted TNY279 and an open 2R2 resistor.
Just in case I replaced the PWM control IC (PS223) and the PFC control IC (CM6800).
Now the supply turns on, the +3.3V is fine, but the +5V measures only 2.5V and there is no +12V.
I have checked every diode I could find with a DMM (in circuit) and all the capacitors (in circuit) no shorts, low ESR.
In despair I removed the low voltage diodes which were all mounted on the same heatsink... -
by betmenTV is Philips 43PUS8505/12, bought in 12/2020, so the two-year warranty has expired about 5 mounth ago...
Problem is that 15 minutes after TV is turned on, the horizontal lines appear and picture start jumping up and down.
I suspect that T-CON is faulty when wormed up...
I separated all the cables from the T-CON and cleaned them but there is no change.
Eco mode is disabled, software is up to date, I make factory reset and reinstal TV from TV menu...no change, problem is stil here.
