    Samsung TV backlight

    Hello,

I am new to this community and excited to learn from y'all. I recently disassembled my Samsung tv because the backlight stopped working. The boards have all been replaced and now I'm looking to replace the LEDs. From the research I've done, it doesn't seem the OEM parts are available. Does anyone know of any after market parts that would work?
    • Model number: QN75Q80RAFXZA
    • Panel info: Q8 75" B REV NO: 0.7 (CT181101)
    • I bought this and it didn’t seem to fit (BN96-50372A/50373A)
    Thanks in advance!

Can you post a detailed picture of the original strips or give all the numbers on the strips, best to match those numbers to insure a match as they can have different strips in similar models so just going by tv model doesn't always work.

If this matches what you bought it looks like the model number doesn't match. QN75Q8DTAFXZA vs QN75Q80RAFXZA

These are probably more like it but best policy is match numbers of strip replaced to strip you buy, that is the actual numbers on the strips themselves: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20571512843...Bk9SR97g4qSlZg

If ever a doubt or lack of info, just contact seller and verify numbers on strips.

Best policy is to get to the strips so you can see the numbers on it, then order by number. It would be more convenient to wait for strips, tear it down and install in one go so you don't have the mess while waiting for strips BUT since you can't be sure which ones are in there. You might just have the headache of getting the wrong strips so best to make sure you have the room to safely store dismantled tv til backlights arrive.

Looks like there are two different styles of lights in my tv.

                  Samsung QE82Q70RAT no backlight
                  by sansanpartida
                  Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.

                  My issue: No backlight.

                  Model: QE82Q70RAT
                  Type No: QE82Q70RAT

The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.

So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

LED problem on samsung UE55F6475, 2 strips work. The rest is flashing every second.
                  by Kingfreddie
                  Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.

This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:

Samsung UN55NU7300F Curved TV. Half side backlight out. Fixed by just removing the rear snap cover
                  by howardc64
TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.

This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.

Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...
