    Sony KDL-32EX310 does not turn on in the morning

    I got this TV which supposedly had troubles turning on in the morning, the problem was getting worse to the state that the owner had to unpug the AC and plug again for the TV to power up. Lately it was not turning on at all and twice deleted all programs.

    I first thought it was capacitor problem but all except three small caps are japanese either Chemi-Con, Rubycon or NCC. All of them measured fine. It turns on and of smoothly ATM. I will let the TV sit to the morning and see if it fires up or what.

      Did you check your on/off timer ? If not that do a factory reset.

          Timer is off.

                  New information - I've been told about an indication of the upocming problem in the morning: while still running in the evening, the program menu does appear anymore when opened.

                  All voltages are within normal parameters, that is +3,3 V stand-by, several +12 V and +24 V rails. The higher ones are a bit high (12,6 and 25,6 V). Than there is some separate rail for T-con about 3 V and AC OFF detection at 2,9 V.

                  And oh, the TV is only couple of months after warranty period.

                          I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

                          I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down.                           Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok.                           Good afternoon. I found this forum as I was looking for troubleshooting information for my Sony z9d. A lightning strike hit very close to the house and did nearly $30,000 in electronics damage. The TV appears completely dead with no status light and no picture. I found the Sony XBR-65Z9D service manual and followed the troubleshooting steps on Pages 21-26. All checks seem normal except DC_OFF_DET check on Page 23 R420 voltage was slightly higher than 3V.                           Sony KV-XJ29M31 CRT TV - Very dim image on turn on

                          Hi all, I recently picked up a Sony KV-XJ29M31 CRT TV (BG3R chassis, Australian model) cheaply & completed the RGB mux mod on it for some retro gaming. That worked great, however, I have another problem which I hope someone can help me with or at least steer me in the right direction.

                          Basically, the issue is when it's cold, it takes a while (like 2 mins) for the picture to come up. I think the image is there, it's just very dark or dim. I can hear the degaussing sound & I can change inputs & hear audio but no image.
