    Pansonic TH-42PX25 double half picture

    Nice dumpster find,,,starts right up ,,normally find sustain board issues,,this one plays nice ,,problem is has 2 left side of screen running on both halves,,what piece would be suspect??? thanks gbaum

    Uh... wow. Odd one.

    That's one of Panasonic's first plasma sets; 2002 era. It is HD capable, 720p resolution. Still has a good picture for an old set, with fault ofc, but not bad for modern consumer electronics.

    As for the fault, does that split between the two halves wobble, or is it fixed as it is?

      The picture on both halves is very stable,,,the line between the two pictures is very wiggly

        from the pics...the power supply seems ok. check the main board for problems. looks like a processor chip. need more pics of the inside

            Is this a tv chasis or part of the space shuttle????...
            several shots of the chassis... the 2 large caps on secondary power board are bulging on top some what,,other than that ,,rest looks good

              Did more testing/research on this set,,,,when you go to set-up screen,,,the screen is totally normal,,,now select computer monitor mode, it works perfect....Which ever board controls some of the input other than vga has a problem....
              This is going to be used as a computer monitor / shop display,,,so really don't need to put more time in it other than to assemble the back!!!!
