    Panasonic TH-L55ET60A

Hello and thought i would make a thread while i work on diagnosis of this TV
    TV has green standby light
when i press on button, there is picture and no backlights come on
the red light, starts to flash slowly
there does not seem to a fault code that i can

i removed the backpanel and many screws had to be drilled out as they seemed to be seized
visual check of power, main, led, and t con boards reveals no damage or visible failure

i disconnected the main board and bak lights did not come on
i used thermal camera to look for any heat sources and found nothing interesting

need to start working through voltages

    will share pictures later

    Update
there are no voltage check names from the power supply to the mainboard
so i checked all fourteen pins
i found voltages such as 1.9 and 3.3 and 5.5 so i think the power to main board is okay
i found no 24 v going from main board to the led driver board should be four pins with 24v and these dont have the 24 v
so i traced the 24v pins and these go straigjht to the cpu on the mainbaord
i am going to heat the cpu at 300 degrees for 20 minutes on low fan speed
shall try to reball the cpu this way and see what happens

    will update later

Yes that will kill it for sure, a typical reflow will gradually bring the solder to melting, the (time above liguidus) which is slightly above melting only requires about 60 seconds, so no wonder the chip is dead, 20 minutes is way too long.

Thank you so much for this advice. I have tried this around five times and everytime it failed.
I did some research and found this video on reflowing
          will try on next chip

            Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...

Panasonic FZ-55 Toughbook main board schematic request
            by David Smedley
I've been working on this awful project with a Panasonic FZ-55, basically I'm trying to intercept the eDP signal from the main board, and replace it with my own eDP signal connected from an lcd driver. The problem is, for some reason the 30 pin ribbon pinout is really unusual and not playing nice with my LCD controller. Long story short, I managed to fuck up my board and pull off some pads on the eDP out port, I'm hoping to find either another eDP out source somewhere else on the laptop, or figure out this goddamn pin layout so I can just replace the whole native display complex with my controller...

            Panasonic Tx-P50G20B faulty main board
            by dgnisbet
I have a Panasonic viera plasma Tx-P50G20B which has a faulty main board. The picture freezes after about 30s and appears to lose vertical hold before finally going black. The main board part number - TNPH0838 (1) A - is common to several Panasonic tvs across a number of ranges however there is a second part number (TXN/A1LTUB for the 50") which is unique to each model.
My question is, given that the TX-P50G20B 50" differs from the TX-P46G20B 46" only in the physical size of the screen, is it possible to use the main board from the TX-P46G20B in a 50"? The secondary...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
            by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off.
