Hi,
I have a Dynex DX-37L150A11 which has started to act funny. It will randomly freeze up, the screen will turn a solid magenta (sometimes green, but usually magenta) with some snow and the speakers will have static coming through them at full volume. Usually, this will last 15-20 seconds and the tv will restart itself. It will go back to normal for a few minutes and repeat the cycle, but the time it stays normal will decrease with every power cycle. There are other times where it will not respond to any inputs (remote or buttons on the side of the tv) and I have to pull the plug.
The tv is about 4.5 years old now. About 6 months in, it would do this exact thing. It happened maybe a handful of times in the course of a month and stopped up until a few weeks ago. I thought I just got lucky since someone explained that it might be a hdmi issue. I chalked it up to that, but this definitely does not seem to be the case since it is happening so frequently now.
I have checked all of the boards to see if there are any components that look damaged and everything looks good including all the capacitors. I have attached pictures of the power supply (that's where I think is the problem is). Any ideas on what might be the issue?
Thanks in advance,
Chris.
