Macbook Pro 15" 2018(820-01041-A) Freezing, Rebooting, Kernel Panics but only with connected Battery

    Hello,
I have here one interesting problem.
    Macbook Pro 15" 2018(820-01041-A)
Laptop comes to me with freezing and rebooting problem. All inside was relatively clean and no water damage. Only visible problem was one swolled cell on battery...all was looking like batt problem.
I have put inside new - not original batt, but problem with freezing still. I am able to boot into os, then pc can run few seconds, then freezes and reboot and reboot until force power off.
Quickly i am able to see battery information...batt is detected normally in os with power cycles hours etc.
Battery looks like is charging normally.

    Kernel
    Panic(cpu 1 caller 0xfffffff0110331bc) macOS watchdog detected
    Debugger message: panic
    Memory ID: 0x6
    .
    .
    .
Problem is, that laptop makes these freezings only with battery connected. Without battery runs few hours without problem.
Installed fresh OS, tested resets etc.

With battery connected is mac freezing powered from adapter and from batt too.

Have anyone idea what to check?

    Thank you

Try to boot MacOS in safe and check if it still panics. It might be GPU related.

A watchdog is a monitoring process to check if some critical function is still running. If not, a reboot is asserted. I have seen some weird stuff with MAC's and power state transitions with faulty hardware like Touchbar and trackpad. Also seen some weird stuff with bad ISL9240's as well. MAC OS can be extremely picky with hardware.

With things like this, I often swap the motherboard into another chassis to see if the fault goes with the board, or stays with the chassis.

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
            by TR103
            Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
            - sound and backlight, but no picture
            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
            - it keeps rebooting
            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

            Samsung QE50Q60TA rebooting
            by plytek
            Hi all.

I'm trying to fix my Samsung QE50Q60TA TV.
            IT's rebooting every few seconds.
I have done some tests and it looks like it stops rebooting when I tape pin 46 (I thinks it's FB_1) on the ribbon tape that connects two boards atteched to screen, but nothing is visible, just backlight is solid and I can hear sound. Taping over other pins doesn't work.
Have also soldered two pins on the motherboard to check if I can get an image on the rights side of the tv, but it keeps rebooting.
Can anyone suggest what I can test and do to get it working again please?...

            SAMSUNG UE55TU7002KXXH rebooting

Hello everyone, I'm working on a Samsung TV that constantly rebooting.

            MB/PSU unit: BN9654185QE

It loads up to the main menu then as soon as the backlight goes brighter it reboots.

First I suspected the LCD panel, so a disconnected the LCD display from the mainboard but did the same thing.

Then I removed the backlight connector which only delayed the bootloop by a minute maybe, I know it because I test it with the remote, it does gives the menu sounds a bit longer.

Also I have to note, that the MB/PSU combo gives out a very noticible...

Macbook Pro 16" A2141 screen artefacts, kernel panic
            by sofles
            Hi there.

I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).

Now situation looks like this, If...

            Dell Inspiron 7520 (Intel/AMD) LA-8241P Freezing Issue
            by FShahid
Hi I have Dell 7520 which has i7-3632QM as well as AMD 7730M Discrete Switchable GPU.

This is BACO Switchable meaning the AMD GPU can only "render" and cannot work as alone as it depends on iGPU for output.

Attached is the datasheet for LA-8241P which shares common with Inspiron 5520 and Vostro 3560. Link to Schematics: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...a856347d78.pdf

The laptop has worked flawlessly for last 9 years, with CPU temps never exceeding 90*C and GPU barely reaching 80*C on gaming/full load.

            Since...
