I have an LG the picture is solarized. The original problem was the red light not responsive to the power button so I replaced the main board. The tv turned on but the picture is polarized. Already replaced the t-con with no change.

If the solarization on your panel is the same with your original TCON and also your new TCON, I would suspect the panel, or the LVDS cable (from TCON to Mainboard), or the mainboard itself.
LVDS problem could be 1) bad or damaged cable itself, or 2) not properly inserted at one end or the other, or 3) oxidation or dirty pins at either end male of female connectors.
If you had nice clear image on your screen before replacing your mainboard, your panel is probably ok. It is possible you damaged the LVDS cable in your repair. Check that.
Also, Are you absolutely certain the mainboard you bought is for your specific model number? Some mainboards may look exactly the same but are programmed with a different firmware. For example, if you have a 55" TV, but your mainboard is from a 50" TV, there could be differences.

Hi,
I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.
If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
Hi All,
Need help.
I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.
So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard.... -

i have a samsung lcd tv
it powers on with sound and backlight but no picture
all voltages from PS are good 12v 3.3v and 5v
whats odd is that at the tcon i tested voltage across the fuse on the tcon and i get 0v
i figured main board issue..so i ordered a used main board....when i put replacement main board in i still have same issue
no 12v at the tcon fuse
i disconnect the panel ribbon cables to rule out any panel issues and i still have no 12v at the tcon fuse
the odds of having 2... -
by TerraPhantmI have a Sony 65A8H. Always bothered me that it doesn't have HDMI 2.1. I noticed the A80J board appears quite similar. And comparing some wiring diagrams in the service manuals (albeit A9G vs A90J since I couldn't find the A8/80 manuals), things appeared quite similar. And my understanding is the panels between the two TVs are more or less the same.
So I decided I'd experiment a little bit.
I bought an A80J board. Left the speaker connection unplugged because it doesn't fit. Changed the power connector to fit the new board. Plugged in everything else.
