Samsung LE32R88BDX no picture but sound.

So as above, the back light comes on, T-con tested fine in another Tv yet I have no picture, everything works so it has sound, will select different sources, seems to react to the menu as the back light will brighten up yet I still have no picture, I do hear a slight funny noise which seems to be coming from the main board but after it's warmed up it goes, any ideas on what this issue is? thanks, Andy.

Check AVDD&3.3V on T-con board - if they drop on this panel could be a bad panel. Also check if T-con is getting 12V at fuse. Have to say I have never seen a bad panel on these.

Thankfully I have a spare panel so swapping over is no problem, I'll give the fuse a check later. I did read that the PSU could be at fault, I can't really see that being the case but is it a possibility?

If PSU voltages are OK I would say that is not a problem.

Thanks for that but have already found it, good info though. So the PSU voltages prove fine so I had a good look at the main board and found IC1108(on the underside very near the LVDS connector) had a nice big crater in the middle of it, quite obvious really so I shall be changing it over from a spare board, fingers crossed I do a good job and that it works, thanks.

Hello, I have the same issue in my TV, could you tell me which is the IC1108?, because I can´t see in my burned IC.

Lucky for you I have another bad board with this chip, the numbers I see are:

4435B
BG
L74A

When searching, the first five digits will give you instant results, I hope you get it working, Andy.
