Re: Panasonic Plasma TC P50 XI Blinks once
As far as I know Modus will test the board, since you've proven the board is 1 blinking then it would be hard to expect they'd send it back still 1 blink.Ok. Did that and left the three little brown wired cables connected. One blink continues. So must be the A board? Darn things are expensive. Best I could find was a repair service for $130 with a 1 year warranty. Any better deals out there? Could this be fixed and the problem still exist?
Only way to get cheaper would be to hang out for one to surface on Ebay. You may be waiting forever though.
A 50C1 board will run the TV but it will have some features missing.
One on Ebay for $75 but check with any seller the revision of it as each rev can be for a different size.
If you want it how it was you'll have to accept the cost or hope for some luck in finding the correct board.
Post a picture of your board or jump on to shopjimmy and search MC127H27U12 as that is the panel used in both the C1 and X1.Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma TC P50 XI Blinks once
No,Ok, I disconnected the 3 ribbons-the connector to the SC board from the P board -and connections to the SS board. I also removed the 3 connectors with lots of brown wires going to them from the A board. The only connector left is the power in to the P board. Is this correct?
disconnect the cable from the PSU to SC2
At the A board there are 3 white ribbons, one goes to the SC board, the others go to the C1 and C2 boards, disconnect those at the A board.
At the SS board, disconnect the SS11 cable from the PSU
At the PSU, disconnect P35.
Turn the TV on, if it's a genuine 1 blink then it will still go 1 blink as only the PSU and A board are running.
probably a waste of time as 1 blink rerely ends up being something else but that's how I do it.
let it sit after this test, do not reconnect straight away.Leave a comment:

From the rear,SC/SD/SU 3 boards on the left, center large board is P board, SS is on the right and about half the size of the Sc, A board usually bottom right where all the inputs are.
SC2, SS11, p35 are connectors on the SC,SS and P boards.
You have the PDF, use the find feature in Adobe to find those within the document. there will be several hits but it will show them on the PCB.
Don't reconnect any of the power leads straight away after a power cycle or you can spike boards or worse, the panel (P35). 5 mins should be plenty or use a meter to check volatages present first.Leave a comment:

There may be an option for turning it on automatically. Any post in this thread will email you. I would not turn it on automatically because then your email inbox would flood with posts from threads that you may have only briefly posted in and you do not have any interest in anymore.Leave a comment:

When the SC board gets power the LED lights. When the TV is running it's lit all the time.Leave a comment:

Re: Panasonic Plasma TC P50 XI Blinks once
10-4 will check tonight and get back when I get off work. One more thing, not sure if it matters but I do see a small led on the sc board that goes on for a few seconds then I hear a relay and it slowly goes out.Leave a comment:

Well, you know the SC board, you have the manual which has the layout.I may sound like I know a bit about these but I only know what I have read in this download.
Identifying the boards may be a challenge for me as well as disconnecting them. SC2-SS11-P35-What does it mean? I see SC-SS-P but no #s.
Other forum email me when I get a response on my thread.
Is there a way for Badcaps to do that too as I would have answered faster but had no emails.

Re: Panasonic Plasma TC P50 XI Blinks once
So i guess the model is TC-P50X1. 1 blink is traditionally A-board, something I found is that the 1 blink is probably the last to trigger in the startup sequence.
So disconnecting a SC board would trigger a different code before it reaches the panel startup.
1 blink can be something as simple as corrupted data on an eeprom or flash IC.
You could try this and confirm it's the A board for sure, disconnect, SC2, SS11, P35 and 3 white ribbons at the A board and turn the TV on. If it still goes SOs then it's definitely A-board.
I expect it to be.
Then you'll have to source a new board or maybe get yours repaired.
You would have to check what revision. 50C1 boards would also work but you'll lose some features depending on your version like VGA out or not sure if it's HDMI or USB port on the side panel.

Can we get pictures from the back side of the TV? clear pics of the boards etc...
1 blink I believe is mainboard, but there is some tests we can do to troubleshoot..tw2005 is our panasonic expert.
7blinks is correct when unplugging SC board...

Panasonic Plasma TC P50 XI Blinks once
Hey there. I am a newbie here but need your help. My Viera Plasma Won't turn on and Blinks the LED on front just once.
If I disconnect the SC board it blinks 7 times.
Seems to blink the one time with about 3-4 seconds between the next.
It's a 2009 model and I cannot afford a new one.
I have fixed the capacitors in my Samsung.
Bu this one has me stumped. Please help?Tags: None

by clooI recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.
So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...01-06-2025, 06:02 AM -
by jm1234Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -
by AlicatHello,
Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.
Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...10-30-2024, 10:09 AM -
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

by rmacintoshI aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.
The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:- Plug AC in to back of TV
- After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
- The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
- If the TV is unplugged and then
