    Samsung PN50B450B1DXZA Power Problem

Keeps trying to turn on by recycling, have to unplug. On this unit, Main Board, Power Board (unlikely) Y Board or Buffer?
    Anybody have a suggestion?

As always, thanks for all the help!

Boards, caps, nothing indicates any issue, disconnected Y & X from power supply, it quit recycling. An associate informed me it was the Y Board (it supplies power to the X Board), so purchased new from Sears Parts. Same issue, I disconnected the T-Con and reconnected to power supply, the power supply keeps trying to cycle, but the T-Con LED flashes green a couple times when it's trying to power up. Power Board, X Board, T-Con?

Replaced with new X board, what I suspected from the beginning, but a knowledgeable repair associate informed me the Y Board. Since power goes from PS to Y Board to X board, I was suspicious otherwise. X board was the culprit

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH

          Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:
          • Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
          • Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
          • S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400
          • SNID: 03902728734

          Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

          Samsung Power Supply Board BN44-00874F
          by Nicktronic
          Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

          Anybody...

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Need advice testing a samsung power supply board with scope
          by repair-it
I am attempting to test a samsung power supply board to verify the pfc ic is working. I am powering up the board with my isolation transformer. The board turns on fine but when I attempt to connect the ground for the scope probe, it trips out the isolator. I was taught not to 'float my scope' so I am wondering if I should test without connecting the ground lead or would that be asking for trouble? Not sure how else to test, I don't have a portable scope. I could plug direct to mains power but that would bypass the safety factor.
