So I got the xmain board in

Before I power it up should I look out for anything or test anything?

Also where/how do I update the firmware?

You should check ALL of the IGBTs/FETs on the Y-main.
You should also check Y-buffer for shorts to output.

Also this unit is a fragile beast, I just repaired one with the exact same xmain fault.

Also make sure your panel voltages are with in spec or you will have this failure again.

To verify y-main stability run the scollingbar panel wash and see if you get any strange colors in your extreme whites.

Tom how do I check for shorts to output on the y buffer?

Shinju im guessing I check panel voltages with everything connected after I have tested the y main components?

How do I run the sidedcrolling?

It's under the picture options/ anti burn in options/ scrolling bar.

Ok just wanted to give an update
I installed the xmain board

The tv powered on with no issues
Pictures looks good

Va, vs and vsc voltages are all within spec
They were off about .5v-1v

I did NOT update the firmware. Should I?

Also I have not performed the scrolling bar function. Should I?
