    LG 55EG960V artifact

    Hi,
Someone gave me that old TV, with few artifacts on the far sides and I didn't mind. However the places of the artifacts are changing when I turn the TV on and off.
Any chance this could be fixable?

    this is pixel refresh issue
1- reset after cleaning 2 LVDS and ribbon cables from both side., ( DONT SWAP ribbon cables places or direction )
2- send with service remote IN_STOP

Thank you very much for your suggestions
I tried both but they didn't work. I have a new patern that appeared (before I tried anything, so it's not my fault 😅 )

If you have any other idea, I would be very grateful 😃

Thanks for trying to help, but it no longer starts (I only have a little electric noise then it powers down). I broke it trying to clean the ribbons.

            Hello,
I changed the ribbons and it's turning on again! The artifacts are still here however.
Here is what I see in the OLED menu, I am not sure if this what you asked for.Click image for larger version

Hi, you need to perform the screen test to see wether is a main board fault (example ram fault) or tcon fault (again ram fault/emmc fault), try to select 8. Test Option and see what it proposes.. depends on test result you can press down the aboves to see what changes, it can even be the main cpu or tcon cpu.. last of the checks is on the el.capacitors from the power board to the rest, especially tcon..

There are 2 options to update some firmware.

There is also a Soc test. It runs 10-15 min, then the tv turns off by herself.
Not a good sign I guess.

It will probably finishes like that. I don't the material or the knowledge to repair a card.

Note that I still haven't found where to do a pixel refresh.

Correction from my previous post : The TV just go to sleep for inactivity. I put some music on the TV to prevent that, and the test will run more than 1 hour without doing anything. Click image for larger version

If you haven't knowledge BETTER ASK before doing anything in Service Menu, now show me "13. OLED" menu, we are searching for a "Post FRC test" or the like..
about the pixel refresh as someone call it or Screen calibration is a self running task, i do not remember but i think it is performed after 2 hours of constant TV turn on, i have to check at home some manuals.. or you can search LG oled discussions here last 1 year.. I guess your donor have runned it long to consider it faulty, so do not expect much it will restore itself.. for the few i know.. the SoC test good is a good news, maybe you'll end buying a less expensive T-con

                          Hello,
I need help identyfing what is broken on this GPU - GPU core or VRAM. Let's start with what I did and know so far:
                          - disassembled, added missing SMD capacitors from same GPU
-(If anybody knows what Q518 is and would share this information I would be very grateful)
                          - artifacts during Windows booting are blue vertical stripes, I can take a photo if that would help
                          - artifacts in Windows are yellow-ish horizontal lines
                          - in BIOS/ text on black screen text gets extremely garbled
                          - GPU-Z doesn't show GPU or VRAM frequency
                          - GPU error 43...

Hello (sorry for my bad English),

I have a strange problem with my KVA2 RTX 2060 Super. As soon as Windows 11 is loaded, artifacts appear. Now the crazy thing: When I start Furmark the artifacts are gone and Furmark runs great without crashing. Mats test shows me no errors (PASS). Drivers can also be loaded without any problems.

Mods shows me the following error:

At a superficial glance, it sort of looks like screen-tearing. But that square-wavy boundary is weird...

                          AT PSU produces video artifacts
                          by rattlesnake
I recently put together a retro build that uses a particular AT PSU that fits in this case (LPX).

The model is HPN-100. I'm attaching pictures.

The issue is that after a few seconds of being on, I start to get strange artifacts. The image looks wavy. First it's fine and then it starts to pick up. After about 60 seconds it looks like this:

Does anybody know what kind of failure this is?

Can the caps be faulty? Which ones should I put more emphasis on?
What's the potentiometer for? What else should I check?
