Horizontal lines LG OLED65C98LB
Hi all. I am following a few threads up here with high interest, because I like to see pestle fixing their stuff. Now I got a OLED that has an issue I try to fix. Maybe some of you have an idea since I was not successful so far. I see horizontal lines with different brightness starting from left over a little lite that half of the screen. They also appear when I start P_only mode. So I guess it is the t con. Sometimes they do not appear, but usually they appear after a few minutes and only disappear after power cycling. I tried to make a picture but it is hard due to artifacts by camera. Model is a LG 65C98LB. Any idea or suggestion highly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Cheers

But what type of image are you displaying here in the photo? Is the image subject intact or distorted? Due to my comprension of english i ask if the thin lines fades out from the start to the end of the row.. Do this test, when the defect appears, spray ice cold gas under the bga chips on tcon, if the defect decreases, then you can start searching another tcon, get one from sure working set *cracked panel*, break the seller's ball to ensure both data.. good luck.. -
first of all thanks for your the reply! and nice profile pic, I have some Amigassorry for being imprecise here. the pic shows the distortion, the brighter lines. Indeed the lines fade out from left to right. Ok I will try, Thanks for your suggestion!

In the end it turns out to be connection issue directly at the panel, but all glued so beyond repair.Comment

by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by IhandyrepairHi guys
I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.
never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the... -
by ggil44Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

by noisykid5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

by x_orange90_xI just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.
I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying... - Loading...
