    lg 42 pj350

    It comes on fine then it will click and go off and restart the it will stay on but buzz then after a while it does it again I have put a power board kit on it and still the same I have tried the vs and va all seem correct I have taken each board out one by one still the same

    disconnect the main board put a 100ohm resistor in the auto_gen of the tcon

    plug it in if you get test patterns you have a bad main board


    oops never read fully had the same kinda issue except i coudln't get it fully on, when it's on do a update vis usb, sounds like corruption in the firmware

      Well that's just great lol it was on for ages tried to up date firmware then half way trough went off and now it won't load up any ideas

        Why would you do that?! Interrupting main board firmware update will brick a main board - You will need to replace the main board now.

          B**tard it was on for ages and it was on 2.2 and there was 3.5 so it had never been done even though it has a blank screen now it's on constant

              It's Murphy's law. Always bites you in the arse at the right time. I would never update firmware on an "unstable" TV; it's just asking for trouble. Only a few TVs can recover from a bad firmware update. I know Sony, Vestel and some Sharp TVs can. But most cannot.
