Re: TEAC LEDV32U83HDR(takes awhile to come out of standby)

was probing the filter caps and I popped a fuse.
    Found out that

DB2 diodes RL206 is reading 0.0 in both directions
and the same as above with
    DB3 diode RL206 jgd

would this be all I have blown?

    what can replace these.

i would replace your battery in your multi meter and retest the voltages you are testing on dc volts?

Re: TEAC LEDV32U83HDR(takes awhile to come out of standby)

I tested the diodes on diode mode.

They weren't reading like this before this fuse popped, I was getting how a normal diode would read.

Also the tv set now pops fuses thats why I suspect this diode bridge rectifier circuit

Since it is standard 2A 800V, do you have any scrap boards that you can look to see if there are something you can use that have the same or better rating?

I have a heap of computer psu's. I don't mind scrounging for parts as I get these PSU's all the time.

Seems there is holes for a bridge rectifier could I use a bridge rectifier?

also would this one here suit. as I just priced elements postage and handling 12 dollars.

Anyone know if I can use the HER207G to replace RL206

                              https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...db35c26c29.pdf

I am unsure seems its RL206 is standard recovery and the other one is Fast Switching.

hey got the tv working again ordered the ones budm suggested.

Ordered 30 of these diodes and some common capacitors and a few 3.15 amp through hole fuses.

Got them off element thought I would make the postage worth it.

But what shocks me is they will send out individual post bags if they haven't got them in stock.

So some capacitors came first, the next day capictors and fuses, Friday the diodes came.

No wonder the postage is 12 dollars when they are doing that.

                                  Tv came back again.

You turn it on light goes green. No LED's come on.
so I shined a torch on it, up on the right in the center it is showing "Scan"
Then another box showing numbers and pecentage that is increasing below.

Next i turn tv off and give it a shake, the tv turns on like normal.

what should I be looking for here. cold solder or loose connection?

check over for loose connections and bad solder joints.

                                        Noticed.
                                        I will try detailed this.
When tv is turned on the light will go to green and the screen will stay black.
Using a flash light you can tell there is something displayed on the screen.
"Do not turn off" "Scan 1 - 100%"(loops)

                                        standby voltages
                                        CON2
                                        PIN 13 = 17v(on the schematic it says 12v)
                                        PIN 12 = 17v(on the schematic it says 12v)
                                        the rest are normal

when tv is on they are normal

Where to go from here anyone have any idea's?

sounds like a mainboard fault as in stuck in update mode not sure why it has a black screen though does the menu button do anything at all? can you do a factory reset?

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                                            Hi all.

I started a thread while back regarding TV power supply standby circuitry as it is something I am not quite on top of.
SMPS theory and function is becoming more familiar, however the standby part is still a bit of a mystery.

Anyway, a friend has this TV with the above mentioned power supply board which has no standby voltage, nor any other voltages leaving the board.
The mains AC comes in fine, gets filtered and rectified with power is on the main filter cap as well as the transformer and drain pins of the ICE3B0665J, but that's it.

Hello forum. I've recently been given a Yamaha TSX 120 DAB radio and ipod dock. Its working well however when put on standby its using 6.3 watts. The manual states less than 1 watt on standby. I measured this with a plug in monitor which seems accurate with other items. In use it uses around 7.5 watts. Firstly has anyone who owns a similar radio also got a plug in monitor to check if this is normal with this unit? In the first half a second the monitor shows 0.3 watts which I suspect is what it should use but something is switching it to be almost fully powered. I've searched the manual for eco...

                                            Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...
