I was off on my numbers...I guess I read them upside down or am dislexic or something...but Backlight on 0.33a and VIzio logo / blue screen .57a

OK, that is good. You can jump that L57, that L57 is used as a little filter so the very high frequency noise generated in the T-CON circuit will not be fed back into the power supply, you may not notice or see any noise on the screen. It is not much of inductor.
You may be able to use one of these that can handle 2A or more, the vlaue I am not sure, but one with low DCR will do.

I will just jump it and give it a few days of use to see if I get any noise in the picture...if I do at the point...I will grab a few different beads and give them each a try. They sure don't make it easy to find a value on them.

Thanks so much for your help...I am positive I would not have been able to single out one little SMD bead in this whole board without your guidance. At least I can say I do know how to solder SMD parts so you wont be hearing from me if I had accidentally lifted a trace or pulled off a few resistors. Lets hope this was the only problem though, but I feel confident it was.

Well, I have a new problem...I put it all back together and started a movie in it...this was on the kitchen counter. Now the problem is that I cant peel my kids away from it. Dont see any noise in the picture...and I am also glad it was not an LCD problem. This fix was much cheaper than a new mainboard, and for the $30 I have into it I think it was a great find.

I wonder how many people know about the cause of this problem, I am sure you are not the only one with this symptom. Hopefully other people will search for the solution and find this site.

That's how I found out about the site... Hopefully Google quickly indexes it. I checked my other TV... Same model and same board... So when that one breaks down I can fix it too. Hopefully it won't.

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
                      by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Mi TV 4 Pro-Samsung Panel LSC550FN20 - Video problem, backlight and Audio works fine.
                      by SolarFlare
                      Hi,

My barely 3 year old TV has stopped displaying video, although the video output comes for a few seconds after turning ON which displays the manufacturers logo then shows the home screen (all this with some blue flicker) then the video goes blank and the screen is dark blue with the backlight on. The audio output works perfectly and the TV also takes in voice commands(smart TV).

The TCON board has the following Chips -
                      Samsung VTU63A0
                      RT6939 - 2nos.

and all these chips are getting real hot within a minute, I dont know if this is normal....

This is from my son’s gaming computer that at first had minor overheating issues when playing a very intense game with it causing the computer to crash or reboot

Then bough a new motherboard and a new computer case that a cooling system in it already installed also brought the cooling system for this video card but now the issue with it is that it randomly rebooted screen goes blank randomly and suddenly video freezing or started with video being there then blank screen and then the video comes back or it just stays blank for a while and then maybe it will come back but it...

Vizio E241i-a1 - works, but OSD stuck and no buttons work
                      by bobbyskillz
Hello, experts! I have a weird issue I've never seen before. I know some of you have definitely seen this. I think some have seen in. I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can give me.

I bought a E241i-a1 to use as a monitor. It powers on, displays the image, and has sound. I just can't get the OSD to go away. The TV doesn't respond to any input from the remote contol or buttons except for the power button. Is this a firmware issue? I can't access settings to reset it. A quick search for the firmware has no results. I'm lost. Please throw some ideas at me.

                      Thanks for...
