Tab bonds or gamma IC would be my two guesses.

Depends on what you can do. OK with soldering a 48 pin, 0.6mm pitch IC? (That's the gamma IC.) Tab bonds on 40" panels have often been tricky for me.
On badcaps this week: we've had 6 failures of AS15 gamma IC...

Up load using file attachment to show us the good clear pictures of the back side of the TV so we see the T-CON board.
Your TV may use this one but we do not know until we see the pictures of your board.

Pictures in post 6 is not the picture of the T-CON unless this TV has the integrated T-CON, that is why we need to see the back side of your TV. See post 7 of what T-con board looks like for the model of your TV, there may be more than one version of your TV. It is hard for us to fix TV from remote, so good pictures are required so we can see what we are dealing with and how all the boards are connected together.

So you have one of those LCD panel with integrated T-CON then. You can see the Voltage test points for the GAMMA Voltage VGMA 1~18, take the DC voltage readings with ref to the chassis and list the readings so we can see what they are.

Sony KD-65x7500D - double image - Tcon or Panel?
                        by rimwall
This TV was showing a fine image and pulsing with a partial double image (offset vertically) every few seconds. I taped 8 clock pins on one ribbon cable from the Tcon to the panel. It stopped the double image, but some pulsing in intensity was still visible. I then taped another 8 clock pins on the same ribbon cable and the image is now ‘fixed’. Although I understand this results in some loss of resolution, presumably because the clock signal degrades as it passes horizontally across the screen.

I am wondering - do these symptoms and ‘fix’ mean that it’s a Tcon fault or...

Sony XBR-65X900F black and white image on one side (fading saturation)
                        by NSkyLab
I though I've seen all possible kinds of failures but this one is new...
Colors saturation is gradual.y fading out on the left side of the screen (all colors are fading out). While B&W image is looking good.
I tried replacing TCon but nothing changed. So this is looking like the panel failure. Is there a chance it can be fixed?
Any useful measured can be done on the panel's narrow pcbs? Is there may be something similar to taping trick to fix this issue?...

Sony KV-XJ29M31 CRT TV - Very dim image on turn on
                        by Dreamcazman
Hi all, I recently picked up a Sony KV-XJ29M31 CRT TV (BG3R chassis, Australian model) cheaply & completed the RGB mux mod on it for some retro gaming. That worked great, however, I have another problem which I hope someone can help me with or at least steer me in the right direction.

Basically, the issue is when it's cold, it takes a while (like 2 mins) for the picture to come up. I think the image is there, it's just very dark or dim. I can hear the degaussing sound & I can change inputs & hear audio but no image.

Once it's running properly, it keeps...
