In the photo uploaded, it looks like a shield has been removed. The T-con is under there. Most likely it is a T-con fault, the fuse is a common problem.

I already changed the tcon today and same thing... so I'm thinkn it is the main board.. but with all these old lcds I'm not sure which is the main?

Your main board is the one with the av inputs on it.

How sure are you the new t-con is working? It's best to test it, if it is a part from a recycled TV.

That is part of the LCD panel.

Tom no I'm talking apart the part of the cable that goes in the bottom of tcon, I'm wondering about the board the other end connects to? What's that? And could it be the problem?

I suspect that's a digital video processing board of some kind.

Have you checked for 12V at both ends of the fuse on both T-con boards?

so tom you want me to check this little white fuse right? I checked it in diode mode and it reads 002 both ways, how do I check it for 12 volts? and in tv and on? and where to put probes?

If T-con board is OUT of TV or TV is OFF,put DMM on ohm(where DMM beeps when probes connect) and put probes on either side of fuse(yes,F1)
                            If DMM beeps,fuse is ok.

If T-con board is IN the TV,put DMM on 20volts DC,put black probe on chassis, and with red probe measure both sides of F1 with Tv turned ON..
If you see 12v on both sides on F1,then fuse is ok.

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                                      🧩 Problem Summary:
                                      • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                                      • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                                      • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                                      Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....
