So I picked up a Vizio VO320E ,the vizio logo would be amber then white when I turned it on but no picture or anything I was only getting 1.75v from the 12v pin I found this post https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...zio+12v+output and the problem was the same diode that the set in this post had, I changed it out and the set came on and I got video but no audio, I then shut off the tv to see if that would do it, turned it back on got the vizio logo then nothing, took it apart again and the same diode had blown again, what would have cause it to blow again?

Try heating the capacitors on the power board with a hair dryer. If the set functions, change the caps. -

I will have to change out the diode again. I got 2 other of the same tv I got one good board so I got it working but will try to get the other one working as well.Comment

Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. Failure Symptom
No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help.... -
Hello, I am looking for help to replace a damaged diode. The tristar was replaced and a diode was damaged in the process. I have a picture of the diode but dont have an exact donor. I mostly have macbooks for donors and only a few ipad and iphone boards. Diode part number: DSF01S30SCAP
Im not sure where to find the ipad board number. Anybody have an idea where else this diode is used on other boards? Thanks....
