Toshiba 22AV500U horizontal lines on screen

Horizontal lines 1/4 way down from top. When set is unplugged then plugged back in and powered on the screen below those lines freezes. With a gentle thump to top of set the picture comes back but lines are still present. Set ain't worth nothing but good for practice. Suspect t-con but on this set it looks as if its integrated to pannel. Ribbons to screen don't have a standard connector. Is this true?? The pics are bad but you can get the idea

Almost certainly the panel, t-con wouldn't cause this even if removable.
