    Just another thought, but if you're willing to have a go at that chip replacement, why not try heating up pin 5 and carefully lift that leg to isolate and disable the SOS6 to see what happens.

      Them chips too small for me to solder but i like the idea of isolating pin5 think i will give that a go have the board out now anyway will let you know later.THANKS.

        Reckon you could take a nice clear closeup of the IC? I'm curious to see. Yes it can be a challenge, I have to use magnifiers.

        These boards seem hard to find, only saw broken ones. So you may need that board as a core for repair so be neat.

              Did it TW but its the same also now when i take off ribbons it cuts out before the fans and boards would keep going?Any ideas?
