Just for the heck of it, I tried turning on the TV again last night. The error code isn't consistent this time around, I get 4 blinks or 10 blinks. I'll get around to diagnosing it this weekend, at least it isn't hanging up on a wall.

Both of those are common shorted SC codes. The 4 blink generally means the PSU is shorted and most likely be Vsus low resistance on SC2

An important thing--Not to do, is keep trying to power the set up with a faulty SC.
--especially if you have confirmed its faulty by a simple test of Q661

Any 4/10 blinker Panasonic--Don't bother with all that nonsense in the service-manual--First check Q661, don't even have to remove a single wire, plug or the board from the chassis,--and no extra powering up of the set.

Can nearly guarantee, it'll be short. When an SC board goes--Always IME, Q661 dies....
(It may even be the root cause of the problems, failing--then killing everything else...)

--If you intend to repair the SC, repeated powering can well cause more damage to an already damaged board making the repair both more time-consuming and more parts needed, and with less chance of success for a first-timer....
