Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
Just for the heck of it, I tried turning on the TV again last night. The error code isn't consistent this time around, I get 4 blinks or 10 blinks. I'll get around to diagnosing it this weekend, at least it isn't hanging up on a wall.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
....and a little over a year later, it appears the repaired SC board failed again. I came back from vacation to a TV (which is rarely used) that had a 2-blink SOS (hmm ok, there was a power outage). Unplugged the TV and re-plugged it in, 4-blink SOS (crap). 3rd attempt to power on gave me the dreaded 10 blinks.
One of these days I'll wrestle it off of the stand its on and break out the meter again, don't know if its going to get fixed again. The repaired part had 100 hours at most on it.

Re: Supermicro curse strikes again
Looking at the photos I got, its not just SuperMicro. There is an Intel Server Board SE7525RP2 mixed in there with a few 6024 chassis.

Re: Supermicro curse strikes again
Happened across this thread. A friend of mine is looking to unload some mostly NOS Socket 604 Supermicro Superserver 6024 series rack mount equipment. Do people actually want these things anymore?

Re: Panasonic now selling VESTEL rubbish as their own
Never heard of VESTEL before, surprised to learn they are a large Turkish company that has been building TVs for years. Are any of these private label sets making their way to the USA/Canada? At least their chassis still have analog inputs on them. Many US market sets come with 2 HDMI, and one shared component/composite input these days! VGA is long gone from sets here sadly.

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
Still awaiting the return of my board. Modus said there will be a delay as they had to order parts. While waiting, I was thinking, what exactly is the deal with having to update the firmware on these TVs? The latest firmware release notes for the TC-P50G25 makes no mention of any fixes regarding supply voltage to the SC board. The TV I have here had firmware dating to May of 2010, so if they fixed any problems, it had to be in the current revision (released Sept. 2010)....

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
I haven't tried the other test yet, but its a bit late here now to rip apart the TV again. As for repairing it myself, I really don't have the patience, plus my surface mount soldering skills are umm.... a bit lacking. I'm also afraid of pulling traces on this PCB, it feels like its going to break by just picking it up!

Re: Panasonic TC-P50G25 10 blinking light failure.
Bumping this thread,
I have a TC-P50G25 (US model) here with the 10 blinks code on power on.
Using the diagnostics PDF found here, I determined the TV has a short in the P15V line (reads 15-20ohms on my meter). Following the P15V flow chart, removing the SC20 ribbon cable resolves the short (meter jumps into the k ohm range), which Panasonic indicates is a failure of the SC board.
Testing Vsus reveals no shorts, and testing across the SC2 connector reveals no shorts as well.
