Get a different remote. I have a universal one for most rokus. Hitachi won't work on Onn and TCL not for Hisense (or some variation) sometimes. Try a new one. I have a bag of them so that's what I'd do. I've had this happen before to me and that's what handled it.
Maybe but may be not.Leave a comment:

And YES mods, I am driving home the point, because this guy never quits, just like davi. And before the owner or anyone else, says oh you're being over sensitive, it is not when it happens time and again constantly. Is this guy your hero, maybe he is BUT to me he's just an assshole who obviously thinks he knows more than everyone else here combined. And he sure as hell does NOT.Last edited by nomoresonys; 09-02-2024, 02:50 PM.Leave a comment:

Told you before to knock off those snide comments that are completely WRONG didn't I. Just like the guy with the blue ray player needed a remote with a dimmer, THAT was wrong, I told him it was a capacitor issue, which was right. So go run your BS at someone else. Because you will just come away looking stupid when you direct it at me.Leave a comment:

Just knock it off, I'm talking about the IR sensor; If the IR LED is working, the multimeter should display a voltage drop, typically around 1.2 to 1.7 volts, depending on the specific LED.Leave a comment:

this is Vestel 17MB130S MB, put every things back as original and use Mouse IR Keyboards or universal RC--- when there are response then some one play with it before it come under yours hand... or glitch at Profile firmware happened.. need to check after download the profile on USB if it marked Hitachi RC

can also try take batteries out, hold power button down on remote for 1 minute, push all the other buttons a few times and retry.Leave a comment:

This doesn’t mean anything, even if the sensor is not working, the output voltage will change, but the processor will not understand the commands...Leave a comment:

Can try a simple reset, take batteries out of remote, unplug tv, hold power button on tv down for 30 seconds, wait 2 minutes plug tv in put batteries in remote and retry.Leave a comment:

Put the old one back in and test with multimeter, one of the connector pins should change voltage when you give it a signal from remote if working, may be some mlc capacitors on the ir board to check.Leave a comment:

The IR sensor might not fit the pinout you installed; they have different pinouts.Leave a comment:

New batteries in the remote? try a universal remote, just to see if it will work, do the buttons on tv work? Something that works sometimes is take batteries out, push all the buttons several times and retry.Last edited by nomoresonys; 09-02-2024, 12:35 PM.Leave a comment:

hitachi 75hl16t64u - not responding to remote control
I have a hitachi 75hl16t64u tv in for repair and it is driving me crazy.
It came in for a power issue which I have finally resolved by replacing the power supply.
The current issue is that the TV does not respond to the remote control. I have replaced the IR sensor board with a used one but the fault persists.
Anyone have a clue how to fix TV?
FYI: I have checked the remote work s by pointing it at my camera on my phone.

by tmhobadcapI have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.
At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked... -
by ChrissygizmoHi all
I've just repaired the backlights on this tv. I didn't get a remote with it so I'm using a universal one. The tv works properly via the buttons on the back but the only remote command it registers is the power off. It will power on if I try immediately after switching off, if I leave it until the standby light stops blinking then it won't turn on again from the remote.
I don't think the remote is at fault as I've got other remotes that do exactly the same thing.
Any help would be really appreciated....
Thank you... -
by piipoHi, I have an old Privileg brand 5.1 speakers. I have lost the remote control. I have an universal Harmony remote but there is no Privileg brand in it's software to add. Does anybody have an idea what alternative brand for a remote can I try instead? I'm attaching an image of what the speakers looks like. The image shows 2 main speakers, they are 5 + 1 in total. Thank you very much1 Photo

by vincentedelHello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.
I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...-

by hemant_2222Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is enjoying their repairs at hand!.
I am looking forward to get the schematic of Denon remote control RC1156. Actually long time no use of the remote leaked the battery thereby corroding few parts as well as the tracks.
I was able to join few of them but the remote is still not working, so i am looking forward for your help, in case anyone understand the schematic or the remote circuit diagram and could me assist me in repairing it.
Please refer to the attached picture, i think the voltage divider is missing...-
