Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
It's actually AIC2857F. Is it physically burnt? Your results indicate it is not functioning, in the very least.
One on eBay, they're about £5 each

but plan on about 2 weeks to get it from China.Leave a comment:

See diagram here:

Pin 2: input voltage, this is OK (12V from PSU)
Pin 5: output feedback, should be 1.25V - not OK indicating the output voltage is not present
Pin 7: on/off command, it is >2V indicating the main board processor says "I want power" but converter does not function. (Like a light switch which is on but with a blown light bulb.)Last edited by tom66; 03-04-2014, 04:20 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
Hmm, my error on the 1.25V. That is OK, it is just normal adjustable type. doh.
Readings seem good, so there's little more to suggest.
Can you see part U7 near one of those LDOs? What is the part # on it?Leave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
Can you try making the measurements as you turn the set on for the last three? You may have to turn it on and off a lot of times. A close picture of the power supply showing the label would help too.Leave a comment:

Haha, maybe for you, honestly I'd probably fit the kitchen upside down and have half the parts from the engine missing.Leave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
20V, because that's the maximum range your meter can support. If you tried to read 3.3V on a 2V range, your meter would just show over-range ("OL" or single "1")Leave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
ok and says you test on 20v setting yes ? even though i thought 2v would of been the way lolLast edited by tonyuk; 03-04-2014, 01:56 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
Top are 3.3V, bottom is 1.25V.
The voltages should be tested left to right, in the orientation in which the labelling on them reads the right way around i.e. you don't have to crane your neckLeave a comment:

Re: lcd19-229 stand by light on and off
1 has 1117 b then under say ade11u
so im gues the top 3 r 3.3 volts ? and would test left to rightLast edited by tonyuk; 03-04-2014, 01:43 PM.Leave a comment:

by MOSSEPHi
Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.
Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.
The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.
I have already tried replacing all of the...-

by lcdcaps1Hi
I have an 820-2610-A motherboard that has no green light.
I have noticed is when I do a SMC reset the light on the Magsafe blinks.
From My understanding, the sys onewire circuit is responsible for the green light on the magsafe
The sys onewire circuit on this model and others is more involved
I was hoping if anyone knows about this and how it works, can reply and let me know
I know this is an old model but I am sure there are people who still works on these or knows about them

by blazzeliaHi guys,
I have this 2011 MBP - the company I was working for, bought it at the time for a project and gave it to me after that. Later on, I gave it to my daughter which used it for normal internet browsing and office apps. At some point the, now famous, AMD GPU issue hit this laptop as well. I disabled the use of the AMD GPU following some information I found at the time (the one that, at the end, one moved AMD kext drivers to a backup location). So the laptop was using the CPU graphics and it was ok for the said daily usage. I even replaced the drive with an SSD one and it was operating... - Loading...
