    orion tv-3802 burning on mainboard

can someone please give me some advice regarding this tv.
the fault was when tv was plugged in the red standby light would come on but if you pressed channel up/down button it would switch on (green light) then off again.i read it could be in hotel mode and by pressing the volume up and power button for three seconds it would come on,i did this and sure enough the screen lit up and the red light went to green.and stayed on green,,but there was no menu or nothing on the screen i waited for a minute but could smell burning from the mainboard i checked the main board and there is a component burned out, could this be the mainboard that was faulty or could the power supply board have been faulty which burnred out the mainboard.

Hi Shaun is the service manual you have specific for that board. I have been looking but the manual I found I think is for another board it has those transistors as 3 legs - there is another post on the forum that has that board,

Is it your intention to try and replace the transistor or get a new board?

Also is the heading wrong is it A TV- 32802 can you change it?

If you go into the thread using post reply maybe you can enter a header at the top - if you do it it may change it for the thread or maybe just for the post I dont know.

Anyway I suppose if you can get a board you will then be able to get a part number maybe get a part and fix it then sell it.

Oddly enough I did come up with a toshiba 32 inch that has a 6 leg transistor at Q3805 but it wasnt the same board so no good guessing. Your sure it has no marking at all?

Just in case you miss it as they have a few entries for that board but most come up as out of stock

                  EDIT
These boards are also in some Polaroid TVs
