    I've measure the two caps I've removed and they both show as 221 and 223 nf so..... should I still fit the 1uf?

      Hmm.. not sure I guess others will know more than I do. I can say 1uF worked in mine. But I'd guess no harm in replacing with the value you measured.

      Also of interest, there was a Panasonic tech on here who said with the PZ80 (different PSU but similar MC201/301 problem) that the official Panasonic fix is to just to remove the cap. See this thread here:

        Thanks for the info there tn245 I have rebuilt it with the caps removed but its still giving the 10 blinks so they must be different enough to make a difference.... bummer

        Think I need some freeze spray to start checking IC's n stuff (note I also removed the caps on my 50' and it changed the flash code??)

          You can get cans of compressed air from Poundland in the UK, £1 for 200 ml, it also works as freeze spray by inverting the can.
