Hi, I have LCD TV SHARP LC-32SH340E. There is 17MB60-4 mainboard. The problem is that if TV is on stand-by, front LED flashes. When I try to turn it on, LED starts to flash little bit faster, takes 5 seconds and than it falls back into standby mode and LED flashes slower again. Display never doesn't lights up. Do you have any ideas what can be wrong and what should i try to do?

Re: LCD TV SHARP LC-32SH340E can't start
not a real Sharp - all VESTEL junk inside ("official licenced product"). It is a common protection fault with mainboard or PSU.
Two major causes:
- bad main board firmware - I recently sold a main board to a user on here to fix similar fault, but these main boards are hard to come across...
- bad power supply: shorted diode on 17PW25, 17PW26 PSUs, or bad FAN-chip on primary, or open circuit sense resistors+other blown parts.Last edited by tom66; 02-09-2014, 12:46 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I can't find any schema of this PSU. Do you have any? It's 17PW82-2 v.1 090511.
Some people told me that i should check CCFL backlight by entering service mode, where should be record of errors. But I can't enter it. Tv does not response.Last edited by andrasin; 02-09-2014, 02:08 PM.Comment

17PW82 ah OK it's a slightly newer PSU but very similar to 17PW26 so you can try with that schematic instead.

Just check if you have 5V, 12V and/or 24V out from PSU. 24V is easiest to check at inverter connection.
Inverter fault is for older Sharp actually made by Sharp, these Vestel sets do not detect an inverter fault and will power on blindly (no backlight / backlight flickers on.) You have a protection fault, indicated by a slow blinking LED.Last edited by tom66; 02-09-2014, 02:16 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post a picture of the underside of your power supply. The 5V is generated by buck converter from 12V supply. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Can you double check that part #? Can't find anything on it. It is quite possible that part is at fault. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

OK, that's the MOSFET, it could be bad and can be tested later. What about IC801?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Uhh.. sorry, my error. I meant to say IC800 or IC808, directly below IC803 (hard to see exact ref des.)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.
The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

by Egidio85hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.
the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.
reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.
now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.
to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)

by NicktronicHey Everyone,
So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.
I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...03-27-2023, 07:01 PM -
by Tecc1229Hello, I have a Sharp LC- 58Q620U 58" LED 4K TV.
When you initially plug the TV into the 120V outlet, I get the initial standby red LED light. After you press the power button the red LED goes out and no other lights come. There is no backlight flash, nor image on screen. No audio with HDMI source plugged in, nor does my laptop detect another monitor plugged in. T-con board makes a clicking sound with or without LVDS cables hookup or off.
My first thought was that it had a faulty PSU. Reading voltages, I was getting a swinging voltages from the DC output from the... - Loading...
