I have a complete kit--but made a cock-up of something, so now my control-board doesnt work at all.
This kit is the official LG jig for use with computer,--not the stand-alone jig-- comes with a disc of drivers, the download software and loads of firmware files for the various models.--Mine is the 42PC1DA with 'red-spot' The software for the PC is made by 'Blue-Chip' as is the adaptor-board and USB cable etc.
The instructions that came with on PDF format are not very extensive, I followed them, but the firmware doesnt install correctly.
I can erase the eeprom, but on checking eeprom blank, it comes back as 'failed' with some hex-code message I don't understand.
On 'auto' mode it goes through the erase, then download, and fails the 'verify' stage, right at the end.
Tried it all ways, 32/16meg memory, (switchable on the computer-software) even tried with the 4 pin lead instead of the 15 pin, much the same results...
Any ideas...?
