    Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?

    Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

    Any help appreciated

      Because of what? Physical damage or the tv malfunction puts a hole there.

      will probably tear it down and look in a couple days

      Guy said it was sitting on wall, one day come home and it's like that.

          Interesting, well I will do this tomorrow then, much easier to know the tv is trash quickly. I'll post a pic if I find it

            This has the screen glued to the bezel, it's a qled I believe. You say to take off the bezel to it?

            Yea I don't see any holes. Not yet anyway.

            I took off bottom bezel and checked everything, I wouldn't doubt it's panel but I got a minute to look

              When I disc the right side ribbon so 3/4 screen works I get the left 3/4 working with picture but with lines through screen. The 1/4 side also still has lines. The picture is the 1/4 side with lines and partially the 3/4 side. Well definitely seems like I got some short action

                Anywho trashing it anyways. Parts going to eBay I don't have time for things like this checked all buffer boards caps etc etc nothing wrong all voltages correct. No space for tvs without an easy answer right now. But thx diah. Something likely panel related

                  TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                  by x_orange90_x
                  Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

                  Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
                  by thelankanguy
                  The TV shows a black screen with no image.
                  TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
                  Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
                  12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
                  There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
                  Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

                  VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
                  by Fly_Among_Stars
                  Hi,
                  I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
                  Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
                  I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                  Main board appears fine, too.
                  I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
                  There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
                  If both are connected, the screen is black.

                  If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

                  BOE HV650QUB-F70 TCON issue - VGH AVDD HAVDD no voltage - caps seem ok
                  by cagri
                  I have an Arcelik TV with BOE HV650QUB-F70 TCON board, but I think there's an issue with/around PMIC.
                  PMIC: iML8940

                  There is backlight and sound, but no picture. I watched a YouTube video and turned it off, half an hour later it was dead.

                  Input 12v, fuse ok
                  DVDD1V2 = 1.2v
                  DVDD1V8 = 1.8v
                  DVDD3V3 = 3.3v
                  VGL = -7v
                  **VGH = -0.3v
                  **VCOM0, AVDD, HAVDD = 0v
                  SWBK1 = 3.3v
                  SW1 = 12v

                  VGH to GND resistance is 500kohm as expected

                  Readings are same after I disconnected the two cables from TCON to panel...

                  Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
                  by remmurdmd
                  Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...
