    Tom,

I can get a guaranteed working Logic Board for under $20. Is it worth swapping it out?

I cannot think of any obvious checks you can do besides checks for resistance. A logic board may be the best way to go.

Which resistors would I test if I wanted to do that first? I have the service manual for the TV.

          Tom,

I got the new Logic board and swapped it out. It definitely is better, however i now have a pink band on the left hand side of the screen. Can you tell me what that would indicate.

          Thanks,

          Dwight

One of the ribbon cables on the logic board is not properly seated. Remove them and check carefully.

              Tom,

The problem seemed to fix itself. The band is gone and the TV is working great. Thanks again for all your help.
