Samsung HG49EE690 Hospitality TV reboot issue Mainboard BN94-11086A

    Hi,

I have 3 of these TVs for repair with same problem of going to standby after around 10minutes and start again continuously. I have tried a new SPI 25Q40 but fault remains. Am suspecting a CPU problem as it gets a bit hotter than I expect.
This seems to be a common problem in these models. I am 100% sure it is a mainboard issue as I have fitted a spare from a normal TV from a UE40K5607 and stays on (diplay inverted but I managed to rotate in SM using a different display).

    Any help appreciated!

I am like 80% sure. I might be able to replace it however not sure am able to reprogram the MMC because 99% it will be sold as new and blank internal ROM.

You can find the chip already reprogrammed. Anyway , ae you sure that power supply is good..? Turn the tv on without the main board (tuner) only with power supply, if the led of pannel comes up and staying on then you have the answer is the main board faulty... like I said you can find the chip already programmed find some research on Google...

Am not aware where can I find pregrommed Chip. Will look up some more sites. As far as I know, sites like Aliexpress sell it new blank.
I have set the 'Hospitality' option to ON in service mode with the ue40k5607 main board in place. However am not sure if the apps installed on the original board can work n this replaceable board.

Ok, do you have the mark of the chip what you need? If yes just search it with the (mark) on it or with the model number of your board..👍

Don't worry about the app, if the chip is the same or compatible everything works fine. Bye

                Hi again,

                CPU is SEMS31 BGA

Am not 100% if CPU failure as tried to heat it up and didn't conclude that with extra heat trips quicker.

I would need a GPU and a stencil. Any recommendations for a good quality but not too expensive solder and cleaner?

before trying a cpu reballing you need to do heat tests also on ram / rom chips..
try also eventually freezing on a certain chip to see if it takes life again for minutes..
since cpu is too hot can be cpu balls or both cpu/ram, cpu/rom..

That's right! Try to put on it some spry ice and turn on the TV if it burns up it's him!

I have tried heating and freezing CPU / RAM / DC - DC convertors and all around board including HDMI chips. But could not conclude if the heat / freeze is changing the duration So changing the CPU is a wild guess and I think is not worth the time and cost and risk after all.

indeed the freezing with air can cannot cool the bottom of bga chips, need a total board freeze in a domestic freezer..

Samsung SyncMaster 740n Phase Control Issue
                            by vincentedel
                            Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.

I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...

                            QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV Issue
                            by Manucsl
                            Hello.

My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.

Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊

After reading some posts on this forum, I suspect an eeprom issue so I bought a CH341A to dump...

                            Display issue Samsung TV UA65JS9000W
                            by FourRunner
I purchased a used Samsung TV model UA65JS9000W recently knowing it had an issue with the screen. When switched on the picture was bright both sides of the screen but a little darker in the middle of the screen. Thinking this was the back lights (side mounted LCD strips) I replaced these, however the issue is still there. I am now thinking it may be a TCOM issue, but am not sure, any advice on this would be appreciated. Also whilst changing out the back lights I noticed the the thick clear plastic sheet (maybe 1.5 to 2mm thick) below the diffusers there is cracking (up to 75mm) on the sides and...

Samsung UE48JU7000 screen issue after backlight replacement
                            by ScHAmPi
                            Hi all,

Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:

I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...
