    EMMC repair questions

I have come across probably 6-10 TVs now in which I suspect the EMMC has gone bad. Is there a way to repair them or confirm EMMC is the issue without taking it off the board?

Also if I want to repair emmc chips, does anyone have a link to the tool I would need to read them and repair them. Any and all info on this would be helpful thanks.

Currently have a 75h6570g Hisense, it flashes once and nothing occurs. No 12v at TCON. I've repaired this before, it's likely the main board as everything else is fine.

If you can verify the backlights are ok it may be the eMMC, there Nick did your same model, they remove and test it, symptom is not the same as yours, but it could still be the eMMC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlA0umUzbVk

It's a 75 not 70. It basically does exactly this in this video which is a 65, same symptom.

But would freezing the EMMC possibly uncorrupt it, or at least let me diagnose that is it.

There's no 100% sure test to confirm bad software, but the best way is to connect the uart, it can be locked on some models.. software can be repaired in some models without open TV but the actual trend is that UART access is locked and only best hackers can crack through them..

You know what the whole difference between these are....the screen size that's ALL.

Surely is possible to see if the eMMC is dead keeping it on board. But I did have instances where a reflow worked wonders. So best way is to take the eMMC off… Find an older thread of mine about an DreamLink T1. It will give you some insights,

Very useful information on the Capleaker android box thread, at least for me, so now is clear, one card can be salvàged even only by reballing the emmc if one is lucky, otherwise if bad solder corrupted the internal files unfortunately must be màde a file fix or simpler dump reflashing.. now my thoughts are clearer..
