    TC-P50VT20 Screen replacement

    Hi everyone,

Just bought a TC-P50VT20 for parts, the screen is cracked.

My question is, maybe Tom or Tw will answer this one i guess,

Is it possible to replace a screen on a TC-P50VT20 or to apply something, like they apply on windshield, i mean on a car. ( This one is funny, but hey, i paid 100$ for that TC-P50VT20, just for parts )

Thanks guys, pleasure to be here like always.

No, the screen costs far too much money. It would easily cost 90% of the TV's value. It is not possible to repair cracked plasma panel.

Really Tom, NOTHING can be apply on screen to make it work, even if it ain't a big crack, and if it's in the corner of the screen.

Nothing. Once the panel cracks the special gas mix gets out and usually lines on the screen get shorted together, both of which cannot be repaired. I hope you did not pay too much. It is only parts/scrap value. You could use the D board in your TV and cancel shopjimmy order though.

I paid 100$ for the TC-P50VT25, for parts. Ok, understand the logic of the gas thing, yep.

May cancel ShopJimmy for that 100$ or just keep both for parts anyway.
