Hi, I have a Sony kdl-32w653 which blinks 3 times, this tv has an external power supply so I think there is only a main board and inverter board inside it, would a replacement main board fix this? Also just had a quick look and this tv seems quite tricky to get into.

Had a look at this now but cant get into the thing, have taken out all visible screws but the back wont come off. Looks like the whole back should slide up but i must be missing something.Last edited by duarab1976; 01-24-2014, 11:48 AM. -

Ok got the back off, there were many clips holding it and a good few broken after i got it off, tried the motherboard with all the parts disconnected and i still get the 3 blinks so assume motherboard fault and have ordered another.Comment

welcome to the forums, before you go shoot the money gun at it can you upload some clear pics, it could be a blown fuse or a bad cap or something is shorting to ground
when you say all the stuff is disconnected what exactly is disconnected ? inverter, main board, t-con or power supply ?
you should upload pics, do you see any swollen caps on any board ? do u have a multi meter ?Comment
