Hello, I have a problem with a Radio DVD for my car. The model is called VIETA VTC5000BT.
First of all, i have to say that english is not my native language, so i'm sorry if i make some mistakes.
Well, the problem is when i turn on the radio, the screen hangs on a numberpad as you can see in the picture below. I think that it's the bluetooth numberpad. In this state, only a few keys work, you can move the volume up and down (you can see the number of the volume going up and down on the screen), mute, band, list and source. The screen doesn't change but you can hear a beep from the internal buzzer.
I'm going to describe what I have done already.
There's principally two pcbs, the main board and what i'm going to call the "optical board".
In the main board, I have checked the two D882P PNP transistors and they are good (I have desoldered and resoldered them). I have checked the KIA78R09PI 9v regulator which is good too (measuring voltages).
In the "optical board", you can find the main processor which is a Zoran Vaddis 966, and three chips which are called S29AL016J70TFI02 (it's a CMOS 3.0 Volt-only Boot Sector Flash Memory) ,other one is a IC42S16400D-7TL (it's a 64-MBIT SDRAM) and the other one I don't have found any information about it.
I have checked knowing the pin-out of both of the memories the Vcc pin and when i turn on the device, there's no alimentation voltage on any memory. So I though it could be some problem related to the DC-DC converters which are located at the bottom of the main board. They are two LSP3124 which have 5 volts on their outputs. When i turn on the device, one of them set to ON state (pin 5 to ground) but the other one is set to OFF (5 volts on pin 5) so the "optical board" aren't not receiving alimentation. I have connected the pin 5 to ground in order to give power to the optical board and I can see the laser of the cd, but anything more.
The courious thing is that if i disconect the optical board from the main board (two flexs), the device do the same. Even i have desoldered the bluetooth board from the main board and the device do the same!!!
Any ideas? Sorry for the long story.
The problem is very weird, actually i dont know if it could be a "software problem"?.
