    Samsung PN50C7000 black horizontal lines whats it worth?

    a friend is willing to sell this TV with a few black lines going through it im pretty sure its fixable (ribbons probably needs a good cleaning) what would you pay for it knowing it needs repairs? this is the only picture i have its a samy plasma 50 inch 3d internet ready thanks for your thoughts

      we have been seeing a lot of that lately with Samsung panels on this forum something is wrong in the plasma panel 99 percent sure it's probably not worth buying more lines will drop out soon. It's obviously a design flaw some type. I had one of these a while back also with the same issue I could not figure it out it is not buffer boards. But of course I'm not deterring you for buying it just a little warning that that could be the problem most likely
      Did I leave the soldering iron on?

          i was thinking it was the ribbon connection, the fix being adding the thermal pads between the frame and connection

          even still you think you wouldnt buy it at all ?

              even though it's a nice tv if you were me and I found it I be passing it up just do too past experiences and what I have read with the outcome of other members TVs on the forum. as far as I know nobody has been able to cure this problem

                  TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board

                  All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                  • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                  • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

                  I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
                  I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

                  never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
                  then it started to show the ghosting white image.
                  I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.

                  Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated.                   5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening.                   I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

                  I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
