    Sanyo DP32640-05 K8LK troubleshooting...please help

This LCD TV will not turn on. When the power switch is pressed, the green LED on the front lights for a few seconds and then turns back off. There is no sound, (snap, crackle, pop, or other) and no picture or light from the screen.
I initially disassembled the entire set to inspect all of the circuit boards (top and bottom) and found no obvious burns, loose connections, pinched wires, or swollen caps. On a hunch, I replaced the main analog board, but that made no difference.
I have downloaded and studied the service manual, but am rather confused as to where exactly some of the voltage measurements are supposed to be taken It appears that the diodes listed in "Power Failure Circuit" all appear to be on the bottom of the circuit boards. Does that mean that I am to remove them from the TV and flip them over to test Voltage? If so, I can...it just seems like they would have listed locations on the top of the circuit boards to test instead.

Thus far, I have determined that I am getting AC in. I confirmed both 5.5 V and 3.3 V STBY power in the jumpers with voltage listed on analog board.

J1634 on the analog board is labeled 12/15V, however, in STBY I measure .04, and when I press the "On" button, this increases to 12V.

Otherwise, I have back probed the plugs and have found the following:

    K603 24V on Pin #1, 2, 3, 4

    K8FRA Pin #1 = 5.5V, #2 = GND, #3 = 3.54V, #4 =0.48V, #5 = 0.48V, #6 = 0.04V

    K8CTRA PIN # 1 = 5.5V, #2 = GND, #3 = 0.11V

    K5A #1 = GND, #2 = .04/11.95V (similar to what was at J1634), #3&4 = 5.05V
    #12 = 3.3V

The schematic shows #7 as 9V, but I am only getting 0.11V off of it.

So my questions are, do any of these measurement help localize where the problem is? If not, can anyone suggest where to focus next?

Only one of the diodes listed in the power failure circuit appears to be on the digital board, so I guess I can try to test that diode to see if it appears to be open or not. The others are all on the Main Analog board so, I am suspecting since nothing changed when that was switched out, that those are not bad.
However, I am just not certain that one of the other components might not be triggering the fault/failure to start condition.

    'Power Failure' Circuit.

    Check: around
    MAIN IC (IC5500),
    Crystal (X5500), Power Unit

This is on page 31 of the PDF file that you posted

Did you do the voltage checks that they talk about

      Thank you for the reply.
I have looked at page 31 and am somewhat confused by it's vagueness.
I found IC55OO but do not see where I should be checking the voltages. In other words I don't find any voltage references on the top of the Main Digital Board (on which IC5500 is located).
One of the diodes (D6700) is on the bottom and listed as 5V, but I have been a little wary about removing the boards and then plugging into power, because of shock/short hazard. If that is really what needs to be done, I can relocate to a better workplace in order to safely do so, but figured I should ask someone with more experience 1st.
There is reference to Main IC (IC5500) D9pin but have not been able to determine where exactly it would be checked (things are really small on this board).
      As for:
      Check: around
      MAIN IC (IC5500),
      Crystal (X5500), Power Unit

Am I supposed to check voltage on the legs of the crystal? If so, what should this be?

In short, if you could direct me to where (and what) I should be checking, I would greatly appreciate it.

ic5500 ,google the part number, find a pdf file,it will tell you the pin out,and a application circuitthats its used in,and you can then break down what the voltages should be you want to test.id be checking VCC to ground for starters

for the xtal, you would need a scope, and looking for a sine wave, this would determine if the crystal is ok.

or you can use an am radio,it will pick up the Oscillation from the crystal

Fixing the Charge Circuit of the Batteries of the DC Motor
            by Astonished
            Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.

            Short Circuit tester

            Hello.
I have seen a short circuit tester made with 3 * 9V batteries, a voltage limiter component and a resistor connected to the probes of a multimeter.
The theory is that the meter becomes sensitive enough to read very low resistances and the lowest resistance to ground on a circuit is likely to be a short circuit in that area.

            op amp circuit function?

            Hi,
I am repairing a ups which doesn't turn on ,it has the following ICs:
SG3525 used to drive inverter mosfets.
couple of uc3483, one for the power supply and another to drive a big mosfet at the output stage(i think the technique is called boost)
A LM358 and TL074 for control mechanism and of course the uController.

The SG3525 is shutting down every time the ups is turned on.
I want your help to know the function of LM358 and TL074 in the system.
I reverse engineered the LM358 circuit and i think that one of the block(A) is used for battery level...

MSI B250 Gaming M3 Short circuit in CPU power supply circuit

Hello. MSI B250 Gaming M3 board, short-circuit on the power supply. Found a problematic mosfet VQ1
(N-PK616BA_PDFN8-HF) soldered it out - short circuit is gone. I replaced VQ1 + VQ5 (N-PK632BA_PDFN8-HF). VQ1 was replaced with PK618. After starting attempt VQ1 is lit again. What can be the problem? In the driver?

So I have a cheap non working ATX PSU that I was learning to repair a decade ago. At the time, it blew the main fuse, bridger rectifier, NTC, and primary 9A 900V MOSFET. Replaced all except the MOSFET. 5VSB came back online. Then I poked around in it so much, measuring components one by one to a point I accidentally made the 5VSB circuit primary side went bang. Blown the AP8022 (Viper22A) PWM chip, along with a low resistance resistor and the PC817 opto isolator. I replaced them all.

In the process of poking around, I also lost a zener diode that stabilize the voltage coming from...
